Day 07

Today is the last day for STOPP.


Presentation at 3pm. HURRAYY!!!

it's our turn to present our stuff to Mr Ronald and another lecturer. They were quite please with our animatics but not the poster and stuff. They commented that the colours used were too bright and the poster look very cartoon which was not quite suitable.

we could have done more research and look through more reference. But too late to do anything. This is the first time we did pitching. This is a new experience. although we might not do very well for it. But i believe that my group have done a really good job!

First time working with andreas, candice and vivien. I really enjoy working with them.

Day 06

Oh well so with the long night to complete the mood board and tracing the poster...

So went in to class in the afternoon and continue doing the poster. But the first thing was to transfer the files to the computer first. In case anything goes wrong again! Showed Candice, Andreas and Vivien the re-do mood board and made some changes to it.. Whee... Our mood board all DONE! Then continue with the poster and stickers and PowerPoint slides.
Andreas and Vivien almost done with the animatics and storyboard. hurray!!!!

So again Vivien and Candice went for their VPress class. And when they came back, Andreas was already doing the animatics in Adobe Premiere! Candice helped out with the audio. As some of the sound could not be found on the Internet, We use the microphone i brought to school. Andreas and Vivien did recording of the sound effect which was really hilarious. Candice came up with a great idea. She suggested that we take a group photo and used the picture as the back of the CD cover. So we took a really funny one. Ho ho. We are done with the Animatics and storyboard. Now what we are left with are adding fonts and re-sizing the poster and CD cover and that's it!

On our way home, Vivien came up with the idea of making a name card to be distributed to the lecturers. Ha ha. Alright, can't wait for tomorrow after the presentation and we are done with STOPP!

Learnt alot during the one whole month. Been through many BIG obstacles which I never expect to happen. Guess that is a lesson to be learn not to work on thumb drive and backup your files in as many place as you can. =D

Day 05

Everything started well but ended like a disaster.

Went for class and we continued what we were left to do. Vivien and Andreas continued with the storyboard and the animatics. As for Candice and me, we continue with the mood board, PowerPoint slides and poster. We stayed in the 2D lab till night. Meanwhile, Candice and Vivien left for their VPress class at 6pm.

The most horrible and worse thing ever happen to me. Around 9 plus Vivien and Candice came back and I have finished the mood board. I wanted to transfer some document to Candice and the the computer can't detect my thumb drive!!! I tried numerous times but no help. I tried calling a few of my friends for help but they can't help me. After struggling with the thumb drive, I decided to redo everything. No choice but that is the best way we can come up with.

I am so sorry to my group member that they had to stay up late with me to do the mood board and everything. What a great day that my thumb drive decides to leave me.

Oh well...

Day 04

Yes we are meeting today. The objective for today was to take pictures that are going to use as a reference and a backup just in case anything horrible happen. So we went around the school taking pictures. It is not easy as we do not want the pictures to look flat and try out different angle and shots. It took us a while and everything ended smoothly. Hurray! That's all. Bye bye

Day 03

There's no class today. But we're meeting up for group project. So Vivien and Andreas started working on the storyboard. Candice and I did research on the budget. Like what are to be included in the budget. How a budget is setup. We also went to search for fonts and audio which we are going to use in the poster and animatics. As for the storyline, we have decided how it is going to be and there will be a twist at the ending. So... watch out for our work. We have also started working on the poster. Everything is progressing well. I hope. That's all. Bye bye.

Day 02

Today we had our class at the Singapore Expo Hall 9. There is an exhibition of the CG Overdrive which are all about animation. There are overseas schools, local production house exhibition of different type of mood board. We had a short demonstration from Inoue School of Language & Art Pte Ltd. This Japanese lady showed us how a manga is being drawn. And I'm amazed by her drawing skills and the software she was using. She also showed us the colouring using Photo shop. After that we had another talk from a Canada University. The school is going to have a new campus in Singapore which will be located near Chinatown. The graduated students have great award. Before the talk, my friends and I went over to another University which is the Academy of Art university which is located in San Fransisco. After comparing the two schools, My friend and i concluded that the Canada University would suit us better.

After the exhibition, My group mates and I met up for a short while. We have assigned our roles and decided on the storyline for the whole proposal. So tomorrow we will be meeting up again to further discuss the storyline and start working on the PowerPoint slides. That's all. Bye bye...

Day 01

Today we started doing on our final assignment for STOPP. We had balloting to choose our team mates. So Candice, Andreas and Vivien are in my group. hope we will have a great time. =D
